Edward J. Gray was born on March 7, 1949. His home of record is Newark, NJ. Edward was the son of Fannie Gray and the late Albert Gray Sr. who predeceased his son before Edward enlisted. He arrived in Vietnam on July 12, 1968 where he was assigned for duty and served with Company D, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st MARDIV(Rein) FMF. He attained the rank of Private First Class (PFC)

PFC Gray was killed in action on August 25, 1968 in Quang Tri Province. He is buried at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield, NJ.
