Samuel J. Evans was born on July 13, 1945. His home of record is Newark, NJ.
He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Sergeant (SGT). Evans served with A Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry of the 1st Cavalry Division. He left for Vietnam in December 1967.
Evans was killed in action on November 21, 1968. He is buried at Morning Star Church Cemetery in Henderson, NC.
