Calvin E. Alexander was born on April 19, 1935. His home of record is Newark, NJ.

He entered the US Air Force and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant (SSGT). He served with the 14th Transportation SQDN, 14th Special Ops Wing, 7th AF.

Alexander was killed in action on March 1, 1969. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Good Conduct, National Defense, Vietnam Service and Vietnam Campaign medals. He was survived by his wife, Erika; daughter Patricia Ann, mother Mable Alexander, four brothers Lawrence, Donald, Charles and David and four sisters Eva (King), Shirley Ann (Gray), Viola (Saunders, and Gloria. He is buried at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield, NJ.
