Michael J. Macarell was born on June 14, 1946. His home of record is Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. Michael had just completed refrigeration mechanics training when he received his induction notice.
He was drafted into the US Army in September 1965 and attained the rank of Private First Class (PFC).
Macarell, serving as a rifleman, was reported missing in action on November 13, 1966, near the Cambodian border. His body was found the following day.
He was survived by his fiancée, Betty Steel, and his father, Joseph Macarell.
