Brian D. Clayton was born on May 28, 1947. His home of record is Milltown, NJ. Brian had one sister, Patricia. He attended Milltown Public School and graduated from New Brunswick Junior and Senior High Schools. He continued his education at Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC, for one year. Brian was a manager trainee at the Carolier Lanes, a bowling establishment in North Brunswick, NJ. He also worked for two summers with the Milltown Department of Public Works.
He was drafted into the US Army on November 6, 1967. Clayton attained the rank of Specialist 4 (SP4). He was a medic with Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Division.
Clayton was killed in action in a fire-fight during a combat operation on November 22, 1968.
Brian had planned to marry Miss Maura Kelly of Spotwood upon his return from Vietnam.
Funeral Services were held at the Crabiel Home for Funerals in Milltown. Clayton is buried in Van Lew Cemetery in North Brunswick, NJ.
