Gregory M. Kutkowski was born on March 21, 1948. His home of record is Irvington, NJ.

He was a graduate of Irvington High School and Union College. He was an avid fisherman and a talented tennis player. He was known as s sociable and very friendly student.

He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Warrant Officer (WO). Kutkowski served as a pilot with the 1st Aviation Brigade, 48th Assault Helicopter Company.

On October 18, 1970, at the age of 22, Kutkowski was killed in action in South Vietnam, Nihn Thuan Province. He was survived by his parents and two brothers Ronald and Derrick.
