Louis G. Petrone, Jr. was born on May 6, 1945. His home of record is Morristown, NJ. He graduated from Morristown High School in 1963. Under his yearbook picture it states: “ ‘Chipper’…his ambition is to be a millionaire…likes pretty girls and quick cars…tall girls and slow people are N.G. … ‘You better pack a lunch’ …his friends all love to do tricks…college is in his future.” His high school activities included: training choir, a cappella choir, bowling, basketball, wrestling, and homeroom rep.
He served in the US Marine Corps and attained the rank of Lance Corporal (LCPL).
Petrone was killed in action on January 7, 1968. He was award the Silver Star and Purple Heart medals.
