George M. Lyons was born on December 29, 1950, to Mary and George Lyons. His home of record is Jersey City, NJ.
Lyons served in the US Army and attained the rank of Private First Class (PFC).
Lyons was killed in action on June 22, 1969 when a land mine exploded. His uncle, Frank E. Lyons, and his stepbrother, Chester Jarmolinski, Jr. were also killed in Vietnam.
They are buried close to each other in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. He left behind his parents, two brothers and three sisters and wife Nancy.
