Frank E. Lyons was born on December 26, 1926 to Charles and Margaret Lyons. His home of record is Jersey City, NJ. Lyons was a graduate of St. Aloysius Grammar School and Lincoln High School.
He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant (SSGT). He was a career soldier, serving in the Army for 18 years.
Lyons was killed in action on June 16, 1966 when a land mine exploded. His nephews, George M. Lyons and Chester Jarmolinski, Jr, were also killed in Vietnam. All three are buried close to each other in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
He was survived by his wife, Marga, and four children.
