Robert C. Hauser was born in Clifton, NJ on May 7, 1945, to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hauser. His home of record is Fair Lawn, NJ.

Hauser graduated from Don Bosco Technical High School in 1963. He also enjoyed hunting.

Hauser was drafted into the US Army in September 29 1965, his mother’s birthday, and attained the rank of Private First Class (PFC). He was sent to Vietnam in August 1966 where he served with the 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry of the 196th Light Infantry Brigade.

Hauser was killed in action by friendly fire on September 24, 1966. He was survived by his parents, brother Ronald, sister Kathleen and grandmother Mrs. Sophie Clifton.
