George A. Carney was born on April 9, 1947 to Rex and Gretchen Carney. His home of record is Pleasantville, NJ.
He graduated from Holy Spirit High School in Absecon, NJ, in 1966.
Carney entered the US Army on September 8, 1967 and attained the rank of Specialist 4 (SP4).
Carney was killed in action on August 21, 1968. He is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum in Mays Landing, NJ. He was survived by his mother, two brothers, James and Frederick and a sister, Catherine.
