Memorial Day Ceremony
We invite you to gather with us on Monday, May 26 at 11:00 AM to honor and remember the brave men and women who paid the ultimate price in service to our great nation.
We are deeply honored to welcome two distinguished individuals whose dedication, leadership, and service have been instrumental in shaping the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial & Museum:
-
Governor Christine Todd Whitman, who played a pivotal role in the fundraising efforts for the Memorial and Museum. Her support, alongside that of her late husband, John Whitman, a Vietnam Veteran, helped make this sacred place possible.
-
The Honorable Edward T. O’Connor Jr., former State Senator and Judge, was the first Vietnam Veteran elected to the New Jersey Legislature. He authored the legislation that led to the creation of the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial, ensuring our state would have a permanent and meaningful tribute to those who served and sacrificed. He continues to support this mission as a dedicated member of the Memorial’s Board of Trustees.
