Robert J. Kein was born on May 19, 1949, in Bronx, NY. His family moved to Rutherford when he was four years old. He had one sister, Ann (Paskas), and three brothers, James, Joseph and Steve. His home of record is Rutherford, NJ. Robert graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1967.
Kein served in the US Army and attained the rank of Private First Class (PFC).
Kein was killed in action on July 29, 1969, by an enemy landmine explosion.
He was survived by his mother, Mrs. Dorothea Kein.
