James Michael Coyle was born on May 14, 1939. His family and friends usually called him Mike or Tiny. His home of record is Camp Kilmer, NJ. James was an “Army Brat” and graduated from Ankara American Educational Association in 1956. James went on to attend West Point, following in his father’s footsteps.
Upon graduation from West Point, he was commissioned as an officer in the US Army and attained the rank of Captain (CAPT).
Coyle was killed in action on August 20, 1964.
He was posthumously awarded the Distinguished Service Cross.
