Michael J. Bosko was born on June 3, 1945, in East Brunswick, NJ, and graduated from East Brunswick High School in 1965. His nickname is high school was “Bear.” Next to his picture in the yearbook states “Jolly disposition…”well now”…sports a crew cut…classroom cut-up…mischievous…navy, here I come.” He picked “good nature is the perfect herald of joy” as his yearbook quote.

He entered the US Army in 1965, and attained the rank of Specialist 4 (SP4).

He went to Vietnam on April 9, 1966, with the 1st Infantry Division. Bosko was killed at the age of 21 on October 28, 1966 when he stepped on a booby trap. Bosko Drive in East Brunswick, located off of Stage Road is named after Michael Bosko.
