Robert B. Reed was born on October 24, 1946. His home of record is Trenton, NJ. He had one brother, Gary. He graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1965.
Reed entered the US Marine Corps in 1965 and attained the rank of Lance Corporal (LCPL). He was assigned to H Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division. Reed was sent to Vietnam on July 6, 1967. He didn’t have to go to Vietnam, but he went to keep his brother, Gary, from having to go.
On November 6, 1967, Reed was killed in action in Quang Nam Province, South Vietnam. He was 21 years old.
