David T. Bryant was born on January 29, 1947, to Mr. and Mrs. William Bryant. His home of record was Trenton, NJ. He had two brothers, Samuel and William, and one sister, Paula. He attended Willet and Rowan elementary schools and Hamilton High School in Trenton, NJ, graduating in 1964. He continued his education at Central State College in Ohio and at night school at Trenton State College. David was employed by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Industry as a mail clerk. He wanted to become an accountant.

David married his high school sweetheart, Jacqueline Diane Keys. They had one daughter, Andrea, whom he never saw.

Bryant served in the US Marine Corps and was assigned to Sub Unit 1, Service Company, Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. He attained the rank of Lance Corporal (LCPL). On November 12, 1966, Bryant was sent to Vietnam.

On September 10, 1967, Bryant was killed in action.

His name appears on the Veterans’ Memorial at Hamilton High School West in Hamilton, NJ, along with the six other graduates from that school that were killed in Vietnam. He is buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Trenton, NJ.
