Kevin R. Humphrey was born on October 15, 1951, in Teaneck, NJ, to Lorraine and William Humphrey. His home of record is Park Ridge, NJ. His family had lived in Montvale, NJ, for 15 years before moving to Park Ridge. He had one sister, Linda. He graduated from Pascack Hills High School in Montvale in 1969. He liked to play guitar and had an interest in Corvette Cars.
He served in the US Marine Corps and attained the rank of Lance Corporal (LCPL).
Humphrey was killed in action on November 5, 1970, in Quang Nam Province. He is buried in George Washington Cemetery in Paramus, NJ.
