James J. Barton was born on August 8, 1950. His home of record is Jamesburg, NJ. He was the oldest of 3 with one sister, Mary, and one brother, Bill. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing the guitar.
He served in the US Marine Corps and attained the rank of Private (PVT).
Barton was killed in action on June 21, 1969. He is buried at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Jamesburg, NJ. There is also a street named after him in the town.
