Tyrone Brown was born on May 27, 1949. His home of record is Newark, NJ. Tyrone was one of six children, and he graduated from Central High School in 1966. His favorite sport was basketball.

Brown entered the US Marine Corps in April 1967. He attained the rank of Private First Class (PFC). His tour of duty in Vietnam began on October 22, 1967.

He was killed in action January 18, 1968, in Quang Tri, South Vietnam. He is buried in Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield, NJ.

His medals include the Purple Heart, a Marksman Award and the Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Unit Citation.
