Robert J. Marcantoni was born on January 18, 1948. His home of record is Phillipsburg, NJ.

He served in the US Marine Corp. and attained the rank of Private, Grade E1.

Marcantoni’s tour of duty began on February 20, 1967. He was assigned to 3rd Squad, 2nd Platoon, Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, at Dai Loc, Vietnam.

On April 10, 1968, Marcantoni was killed in Quang Nam, South Vietnam by small arms fire. He was leading a squad as part of Operation Jasper Square.

Marcantoni is buried in St. Phillips and St. James Cemetery in Phillipsburg, NJ.
