William P. Fesken was born on December 4, 1946. His home of record is Hoboken, NJ.

Fesken attended Hoboken High School and played basketball. Before his service, Fesken worked full-time as a union truck driver, hoping one day to own his own business.

He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Sergeant (SGT). He served with Company A, 3rd Battalion, 47th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division.

Fesken was killed in action on May 2, 1967. He was posthumously awarded the Distinguished Service Cross.

The City of Hoboken erected a flagpole in Fesken’s memory at the Little League baseball field, located at 4th and Hudson Street. He was survived by his brothers, John, Anthony and Michael and sister, Ann.
