John C. Rose was born on July 29, 1944, to John and Cecila Rose. His home of record is Bloomfield, NJ. He had one brother, Don, and one sister, June. John attended Bloomfield High School. The senior yearbook says:
Being a member of the best yearbook staff in B.H.S. history is John’s favorite boast. When he wasn’t backing it up with hard work on the photography staff, he enjoyed working on his stamp collection or listening to the radio.
Latin Club; MEMORIES; Church Youth Group, Junior Achievement; Intramural Basketball; DRALL Club; Chemistry Club.
He served in the US Air Force and attained the rank of Sergeant (SGT). Rose was assigned to Armed Forces Thailand Network (AFTN), which was responsible for music and news in Southeast Asia.
Rose was killed in action on April 10, 1970. He was buried in Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield, NJ.
