Marcus P. Anderson was born on January 2, 1947. His home of record is Cranford, NJ. He graduated from Cranford High School in 1965. His nickname was Marc. Under his yearbook picture it states, “a really neat kid with a personality to match… ‘You know what I like!’…favorite subject is Spanish I…annoyed by girls who wear curlers downtown…best friends are Charlie, Tony, Randy, King…can be found in the ’53 Merc or at 108 Benjamin St….career undecided.”

He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Specialist 5 (SP5).

Anderson was killed in action on August 6, 1968. He was survived by his mother, Grace. He is buried in Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth, NJ.
