John C. Martin was born on June 21, 1945. His home of record is Ocean City, NJ. He had a brother, Joseph.
He served in the US Army and attained the rank of First Lieutenant (1LT). He completed his basic training at Fort Dix, NJ. In 1966, he was back at Fort Dix, serving as a range trainer at Fort Dix. He served with D Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th US Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division.
Martin was killed in action on February 24, 1968. He is buried in SS Peter and Paul Cemetery in Broomall, PA.
