Joe Kochanski

Joe Kochanski was born, raised and still living in Bayonne. He graduated from Bayonne High School in 1964. He enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967. He served with the 11th Air Assault Division, which became the 1st Air Cavalry at Fort Benning, GA. He then served in the 48th Assault Helicopter Company in Vietnam in 1965 to 1966 which was direct helicopter support to the 1st Brigade 101st Airborne Division.

Joe retired from AT&T in 1998 after 31 years in computer support. He worked as a computer desktop support contractor for IBM, Lucent, AT&T, and Chubb Insurance. Currently, Joe is retired and tries to fish when he can and spend time with his grandkids.

Joe is a volunteer tour guide at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial & Museum.
