Biography
Gerard J. Walker was born on June 24, 1949. His home of record is Carlstadt, NJ. He graduated from Hoboken High School in 1967.
He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Private First Class (PFC). He joined the army in July 1969.
On December 26, 1969, two weeks after he arrived for active duty in Vietnam, Walker was killed by mortar fire. He was 20 years old.
His mother, Mrs. Helen Heide, survived Walker. Gerard is buried at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee, NJ.
