Biography
Richard E. Biesiada was born on September 30, 1947, to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph T. Biesiada. His home of record is Sayreville, NJ. He had four siblings, Margaret, Robert, Christine, and Cecilia. He attended Sayreville High School graduating in 1965. He loved to play sports, draw, paint and collect baseball cards.
He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Sergeant (SGT). Biesiada underwent basic training at Fort Dix, NJ.
Biesiada was killed in action on May 21, 1968. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Ribbon, Sharpshooter Badge with Rifle Bar, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Good Conduct Medal. He is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Parlin, NJ.
