Biography
Thomas M. Newman was born on November 19, 1944. His home of record is Saddle River, NJ.
He served in the US Army and attained the rank of First Lieutenant (1LT).
Newman was killed in action on March 21, 1969. He was performing his duty of Aircraft Commander as part of the 1st Aviation Brigade. While he was in formation departing Blackhorse he crashed. At the time of the crash he was located in Hau Nghia Province. The helicopter he was out of Bear Cat station in South Vietnam.
Thomas is buried at Ridgewood Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
