Biography


Raymond A. Renz was born on November 22, 1946.  His home of record is Hawthorne, NJ.  He graduated from Hawthorne High School in 1964. 

He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Specialist 4 (SP4).  Renz was assigned to the 199th Infantry Brigade.

Renz was killed in action on June 2, 1967, when he stepped into an enemy booby trap.

He was survived by his wife, the former Carol Mancuso.  The two were married on July 29, 1966, just five months before he was sent to Vietnam. He is buried at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson, New Jersey.
