Biography
John William Price was born on April 28, 1947. His home of record is Westfield, NJ.
He entered the US Army and attained the rank of Specialist 5 (SP5).
Price went to Vietnam on April 3, 1968, and served with the 1st Aviation Brigade. He was chief of maintenance for a group of helicopter gun ships.
Price was killed in action in a helicopter crash as a result of a hostile encounter in Choung Thien, South Vietnam, on March 15, 1969. He was scheduled to return home 12 days after the fatal flight.
