Come to the Vietnam Era Museum and Educational Center to celebrate the 1960s.

Family activities related to the time period will take place throughout the day.

Exhibit on Display September through October

 War Paintings:  Stories Through the Eyes of an Artist

Exhibit featuring a series of paintings of Vietnam War battle scenes painted by Francis McGinley of Toms River, New Jersey.  McGinley explains his paintings, "It's not a war painting.  It's a story of someone's life.  Someone lived this."  Featured painting above depicts Vietnam veteran Jack Jacobs.  Other paintings will depict World War II and the Korean War

to serve as a visual timeline leading up to the Vietnam War.

Marking Time:  Voyage to Vietnam

On-going traveling exhibit from The Vietnam Graffiti Project that tells the story of young men traveling to Vietnam via troopship.  Exhibit includes:  graffiti-inscribed berthing unit canvases, photo displays, historic artifacts, and much more.

Francis McGinley will discuss his series of paintings.  McGinley is also cowriting a book of his historical paintings from World War II to present.  He will speak of his paintings on display in relation to their historical content and subjects.
