General Tour Information

Last year, more than 10,000 school students visited the Memorial and the Vietnam Era Museum and Educational Center.

A guided tour of the Memorial and Museum and Educational Center provides an opportunity for students to learn the history of the Memorial and Museum and Educational Center, as well as have a chance to speak with Veterans who served in the military during the Vietnam War.

All our guided tours are led by Vietnam Veteran volunteers who share their personal experiences with our visitors. Tours are approximately 1-1/2 hours long. The charge is $3.50 per person (15-person minimum). This fee includes a complete teacher packet and pre- and post-visit learning materials.

There are two tour times available: 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. April, May, and June are our peak visitation time and these time slots fill early in the school year. We recommend that teachers book their tour as far in advance as possible to get the tour date and time they prefer.

If your group would like to have an extended tour, please contact us. Many school groups choose to do a lesson with worksheets and/or other activities that require additional time here. In addition, during our off-peak season, it is possible to adjust the tour time to accommodate your school's schedule. We try to be a flexible as possible. Please call our office at 732-335-0033 to discuss any special requests or needs.

Tours for other groups including adult, college, youth and scout can be arranged by special appointment.  These tours can be tailored to include just the Memorial or the Museum and Educational Center and the Memorial.  We can set these tours to meet each groups special needs.  Please call our office for more information.
