David L. Boyd was born on October 27, 1948.  His home of record is Newark, NJ.  He had one sister, Bernice. 

Boyd entered the US Marine Corps and attained the rank of Lance Corporal (LCPL).

On February 9, 1968, at the age of 19, David Boyd was killed in action in South Vietnam, Quang Tri Province.

He was survived by his wife and a daughter, Toinette, born after his death.
